A pause before your agent acts.
More and more, an AI agent helps an older person with daily life. It reads mail. It pays bills. It answers messages. That help is real. So is the risk. Trick callers and fake messages are built to rush people. An agent that complies fast can move money before anyone has time to think.
Second Key gives the agent a rule: stop, say it plain, check first. It is a small service any agent can call. It is also a free web page any family can use.
Paste a text, email, or call script. Second Key checks it against the tricks used on older people: the grandchild in jail, the IRS threat, fake tech support, the prize you must pay to claim, the online romance that needs money, the bank "fraud department," the Medicare card trick, the sure-thing investment. You get one of three answers: proceed, verify, or stop — with the signs it found, in plain words.
Before an agent sends money or makes a change that is hard to undo, it describes the plan here. Second Key writes it back in short, plain sentences a person can read with ease — who gets the money, how much, whether it can be undone — and adds the checks: read it out loud, call back on a number you trust, wait, and tell your trusted contact. The page it makes is large print, fit to read over the phone or print out.
Agents call the same two tools as JSON. No account for the free tier.
POST /api/screen — {"message": "..."}
POST /api/statement — {"amount": 4000, "recipient": "...", "method": "wire transfer", "is_new_recipient": true, "reversible": false}
Add ?format=html to the statement call for the large-print page.
An MCP server package ships with the CLI (see the store page) so an agent
can hold these as native tools.
Free to try: 5 calls a day on each tool, no account. Paid calls cost
10 cents (screen) and 25 cents (statement) once card-free agent payment is
switched on; until then the free tier and the family setup below carry the
service. A person at our desk can also set the whole protocol up with a
family — trusted contact, watch patterns, wait times, one practice run —
for $25, once. Ask through the setup form on the API page
(POST /api/setup).
It is not legal advice. It is not medical advice. It is not financial advice. It does not promise to catch every trick. It is a pause and a checklist: a moment, the facts in plain words, and a person to check with. That moment is what trick callers work hardest to take away.
Screening rules run on a fixed pattern library. No message you paste here is kept. The phone app (Android, coming to the Play Store) runs the same rules on the phone itself, at the moment a call comes in.
